L3i HYVE Chassis - The New Hotness

The new hotness is here! With the release of the production version photos, this might be the most anticipated chassis system to hit the market for 2025. It has been blowing up on all of my social media, and they are not alone. I am excited to see this thing in person!

Designed for Everyone: Customizable Fit and Ergonomics

The Hyve Chassis is engineered to suit all shooters, offering an adjustable length of pull ranging from 11.75 inches to 14 inches. Whether for youth, lady shooters, or larger competitors, this adaptability ensures a personalized fit for enhanced comfort and control. For those requiring further customization, additional butt pads can extend the length even more, making it a truly versatile option for shooters of all sizes.

Shooters can customize their setups with the chassis’s user-configurable modular forend, M-Lok panels, and quick-detach (QD) options. The standard 2.4-inch-wide forend can be widened by adding wings, and the control bridges provide a stable platform for mounting accessories or attaching a mirage shield. This flexibility allows the Hyve Chassis to excel in both competition and practice, adapting effortlessly to the shooter’s specific requirements.

Precision Engineering for Superior Performance

The Hyve Chassis boasts the lowest bore axis of any chassis on the market, aligning the recoil directly with the butt pad. This design reduces felt recoil and muzzle movement, making it ideal for centerfire applications. Additionally, the robust construction minimizes vibration, providing a stable, dead-flat shooting experience.

An adjustable trigger guard ensures seamless magazine fitment, eliminating rocking. Pairing this feature with L3i’s Stinger Billet Magazines creates a reliable, precision-oriented system. The Hyve Chassis is also designed to integrate with the upcoming Stinger barreled action while maintaining compatibility with other systems in the future.

Optimized for Competition

Weighing around 7 pounds with internal steel weights (5 pounds without), the Hyve Chassis offers shooters control over their balance and handling. External weights will also be available, allowing competitors to fine-tune their setup. With a balance point at the midpoint of the chassis, it’s optimized for competition, delivering steady, repeatable performance under pressure.

Grip options and thumb rests enhance ergonomics, ensuring shooters maintain a secure and comfortable hold. These features, combined with the chassis’s modularity, make it a top contender for competitive rimfire and centerfire shooting.

Now, It was a pleasure speaking with Leon Weatherby, whose passion for this industry is nothing short of inspiring. Leon is the driving force behind L3i Design Solutions, a company born out of a relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence in rimfire precision shooting.

Leon’s journey is a fascinating one. With a background in engineering and experience working on complex tooling systems, he developed a unique ability to blend technical precision with creative design. This foundation prepared him to transition into precision shooting in 2019, where his passion for firearms and technology could fully converge.
