1934 Armory is a Pennsylvania based manufacturer founded by Bert Elsner with a focus on producing high performance bolt action firearms and precision components. Operating from a modern manufacturing facility in Hanover, the company combines advanced machining technology with traditional craftsmanship to build rifle actions, receivers, and accessories designed for reliability and accuracy. Drawing on deep engineering experience and a commitment to precision manufacturing, 1934 Armory continues to develop products that support competitive shooters, custom rifle builders, and the broader precision rifle community.
The 1934 Armory BE1 Bolt Action is a modern precision action built around the proven Remington 700 two lug architecture while incorporating updated machining and performance features. Designed for reliability and consistency, the BE1 uses wire EDM cut raceways for tighter tolerances and smoother bolt operation, along with a one piece spiral fluted bolt and an M16 style extractor for dependable extraction. The action includes an integrated 20 MOA Picatinny rail and a .300 inch recoil lug to provide a rigid platform for optics and maintain structural strength, further reinforced by a reduced size ejection port. It accepts AICS pattern magazines and Remington 700 style triggers, and features a .062 inch firing pin optimized for small rifle primer brass. Additional details include a side bolt stop release, oversized bolt knob, tool less fire control removal, and a durable PVD coating for corrosion resistance and smooth cycling. The BE1 is available in standard and magnum bolt faces and can be configured with either a quick change or traditional barrel tenon system.
